Why ownership is the product
“Sovereign cloud” is becoming a marketing phrase. Any hyperscaler can open a Canadian region, sign a residency addendum, and keep the words while the company, the shareholders and the legal jurisdiction stay somewhere else.
Office Nord runs on Fireweed AI — Indigenous-owned and Canadian-operated. That is a fact about who holds the company, not a setting in an admin console. It cannot be replicated by a competitor with a larger budget, and it does not expire when a contract is renegotiated.
For federal buyers it is also procurement-relevant: Canada operates a mandatory minimum 5% of contract value to Indigenous businesses. Choosing us is not only a values decision. It counts.

Every protocol we run is one you can take with you. If you leave, your mail, calendar, contacts and documents leave with you, in formats that were never ours to hold hostage.
Lock-in is what we sell against, so we don’t build it.
